My OBGYN basically told me I am fat.
Let me clarify. I have three doctors. This doctor is my least favorite.
And she was my least favorite even before she told me I was fat.
I was in for my appointment at 29 weeks. I've gained over 30 pounds so far. When I tried to ask how much over 30, she just said over 30. Oh gee, thanks for that clarification missy!
If I'm going by my calculations on my home scale, I have gained 31 pounds.
One of the other OBs told me I should gain between 35 and 45 pounds. So that would mean I've got 14 more pounds to go on the high end of the scale. With delivery of twins early, that could be in just 6 weeks. At 2 pounds a week, I would be fine.
Another study I read online said twin mamas should gain between 37 and 54 pounds. That makes me in a good weight bracket.
This is the most recent photo taken of me. I don't think I look overweight for a pregnant woman with twins. I mean, I still fit into all my regular clothes except for my jeans that won't button. But the babies are in my belly, clearly. Not in my legs or my arms or my ass.
OK my butt did get a little bit bigger. But I do need more cushion. And yeah, my feet and hands are a bit swollen, and my boobs, well, they did go up a full cup size, but still.
I think it's bad to tell a pregnant woman she should watch her weight when she isn't tipping the scale that much. Am I supposed to cut back on what I eat? I already do make healthy choices almost all the time. I mean, I indulge here and there, but not a lot. I indulged before I was pregnant and wasn't overweight.
I say boo to her.
